Mike Mason

Along with Steve Lewis, Mike Mason was the original founder of Radio Warrington formally known as Radio Worm which stood for "Warrington's online Radio Media"

Our Aim was and still is to focus on the Warrington Community to deliver a truly local internet radio service for the area, local news, sport and be involved as much as possible with local events.

Mike Mason has been in the Radio industry for years he has presented shows on a number of well known radio stations across the North West as well as Radio Warrington. Mike Started up Radio Warrington and presented the Breakfast Show which at the time ran from 8am to 12pm. Mike always found those early mornings a struggle as he was also running a bar in Warrington Town Centre at the time and as a result Steve Lewis threatened to sneak into Mike's house and install a Microphone dangling down above his bed so he could just speak on the radio whilst asleep.

At this point it made sense for Mike to do a later Show on Radio Warrington, The Doctor of Love returned to the Air Waves (Well... Internet) to help you relax and get off to sleep with the Pillow Talk Love show which is still a very popular show to end the day to.

Mike is also the main person at Radio Warrington for the Training of Presenters, both Mike Mason & Steve Lewis believe that people need to be given a chance to develop their skills and with other Local Commercial Radio Stations this opportunity no longer exists due to Networked shows at the times when less experienced presenters would have in the past had the late night time slots to learn their trade, this is where Radio Warrington can help!

Today Mike Mason Co-Presents a show with fellow friend and Presenter Rob Lees, their show is somewhat a special show playing 80's Jazz Funk and all them types of songs you have forgotten about over the years. This show is on Wednesdays From 8pm - 10pm
